Owner and founder of Costanoroeste

The pioneer of surfing in Lanzarote, came to the island in 1989, stayed here for good mostly for the great waves. He opened up the first surf school on the island in 1995, following his life long passion. In 2002, the school integrated kite, and became the first kite school on the island and in Spain. Santi being the master of multi talent, instructs surf, kite, sup and even snowboard during the winter.

Nati is the source of the positive and good energy in the whole team, always with a big smile, always helping, organizing and making sure that things work. She is from Gran Canaria, came to Lanzarote with Santi, helped him to found Costanoroeste and to this day always supported him. Nati loves Lanzarote and the good waves, she is great kiter, also does SUP, on a good day you can find her at the beach catching the best waves.

Kite and SUP instructor

Raul is kite and SUP instructor. He also discovered his passion for Kite through Costanoroeste 14 years ago, and since 10 years he is teaching Kite here with us. On top of his great kite and sup skills, Raul is also the master BBQ chef at our famous BBQ parties.

Surf instructor

Maximo is a great surf instructor, he teaches for all levels, including kids, has more than 40 years of surfing experience, of which 20 as a professional surf instructor. Maximo is pretty known in Spain as he 4 times won the National championship of Spain Surf.

Surf, Longboard and Skate instructor

Nicolas is a multi talent, he instructs surf, longboard and skate all together. He started his carreer pretty early, is surfing and skating since his childhood. He is from Argentina, can speak and teach in Spanish and is instructing with us fort he last 5 years.

Surf, Kite and SUP instructor

Juan is also one of our multi talents, he does and instructs kite, surf and SUP all in the best way. He started his path with surfing 30 years ago, then he picked up on kite and lastly he added sup to his portfolio. He is instructing for all these over 20 years now.

Kite instructor

Alejandro is a kite instructor, has over 14 years of kite experience, of which 12 years he spend instructing. Moreover, he is a real Costanoroestean, as he learned to kite with us here 14 years ago, then left to travel the world and to teach in different places. He is back with us for 3 years now, where it all started.

Surf instructor

Diego is practically born on to the surf board, he started to surf in Asturias since his early childhood, and continued that path all the way, even made his BA in Physical Education and Sports. For the last 10 years Diego is training professional surfers and is with us in Lanzarote for the last 3 years.

Vinyasa and children yoga instructor

Itziar is our Vinyasa and children yoga teacher. She believes that we need to train the body, the nervous system and the mind altogether, so that the three of them can flow together in perfection.

Yoga instructor

Marta is our yogi, she instructs yoga at Costanoroeste. She does Hatha Yoga and Dynamic Yoga. She believes that Yoga leads to increased creativity, peace and coexistence, she lives Yoga as a journey into oneself.

Vanessa is the key to everything. You can find her at the store, she will help you with everything you need, she will inform you on all the courses and suggest you what equipment fits you, your level and the weather and wave conditions, she would even give you great advise where to go surfing, she knows all the best spots.
